“My son, Lav, attends 12th grade at Brook Hill School. he has been attending Brook Hill since the beginning of what would’ve been high school in the Serbian system – 10th grade.We chose Brook Hill, primarily because of the Cambridge curriculum and instruction in English. A significant advantage is the work in small groups with the possibility of constant individual attention to each student.After enrolling in school, our expectations were not only met but in certain areas exceeded. We were equipped with all necessary, and additional, school supplies, constant monitoring of students in mastering the curriculum, commitment to recognizing the potential and affinity of students, and very affirmative communication with students and parents (through regular, and on request, electronic reports, but also in vivo), through help and suggestions in the selection of subjects and workloads, results in an environment that provides opportunities to achieve the full potential of students. There are many difficulties in both growing up and education and we are very grateful for them being recognized, by the subject teachers, the class teacher, the counselor and the head of the secondary school. Everyone wants to set aside time and contribute.A creative approach in the organization of teaching, a lot of joint work with students, made the beginning of the pandemic and the transition to a completely different organization of everyday life, no matter how difficult and painful it was for us in other spheres of life, go completely smoothly at school. They are still the same small groups in which there is a good working environment, and all the necessary materials, tasks, tests and results are available in electronic form.A special area, which should by no means be left out, and is present in the older classes of the school, is the preparation for the Cambridge exams. We like that the last quarter of the school year is completely dedicated to those exams. After passing the curriculum for the current class, preparations are made for mock tests and then it is transferred to their performance. It’s a great experience about what they look like, how they work, what the atmosphere is like at those exams. Finally, they give a picture of the current individual ranges, which is used as a basis for profiling additional work on preparation for actual exams, which lasts until the exams themselves.”

“I am Lav and I attend year 12 in Brook Hill. I like Brook Hill because it offers the Cambridge curriculum and small learning groups, which allow for teachers to individually focus on me when i need help with the
syllabus. The teachers are very patient and do their best to ensure I always thoroughly understand the classes, and they put a lot of effort into preparing us for our standardized Cambridge exams and university, both through mock exams and by spending the last 2 to 3 months of our second term focusing entirely past papers and how they’re marked, to ensure i get the highest mark i can achieve. What I like most of all is the fact that I get to choose all my subjects, allowing me to focus on what I’m good at and what I want to pursue in my further education.”

We chose Brookhill based on the positive experiences and recommendations of our Czech colleagues whose children attended the school for several years with great pleasure. We especially like the individual approach, patience and the school communication towards the parents. With the outbreak of covid pandemics the school started quickly its online education program which now is a great alternative to on-site
presence of students in case of sickness, travel abroad, worsening the pandemics situation or other situations which prevent the child attending classes in person. Quality and effectiveness of the online teaching is on par with the high level of the traditional classroom presence. Professional and experienced approach made it possible to our child to fully embrace the english and be able to express himself in that language. The schoool offered extra english language lessons which helped in quick language adoption. Our child has been remembering till the present day the positive and kind approach of his first teacher, Miss Daniela. Soon after the start our son was able to find good friends in the classroom and he likes to stay in touch with them also out of the school. The school did a great job not only in supporting his educational needs but also helped in developing his social skills. We would like to thank all of the teachers for helping and supporting our son not only in his learning goals but also in his personal development during these 4 years he has been the Brookhill student. “My name is Marina. I am a mother of Marks who is attending Year 9 at Brook Hill International School. Our family came from Riga, Latvia. Before coming to Serbia, we have spent six years in Moscow, Russia, where Marks has started to go to school. He has attended French school in Central Moscow for two years. When we came to Serbia, Marks was eight years old and he didn’t know a word in English. We needed to choose a school for him and we’ve chosen Brook Hill for several reasons:
– it was international school with Cambridge curriculum;
– the sizes of classes were small and an individual approach could be
provided to every student;
– we liked the location of the school in the green and quiet
surroundings.
Now Marks has been attending Brook Hill for already six years and he is very satisfied with his school life – there are professional teachers, nice students and the language barrier disappeared in few months after Marks started to go to Brook Hill.When the pandemic started there was no problem for school and students as well to move to online learning model and now I can say there is no big difference between on-site and online learning models in the field of quality of teaching.The school addresses my son’s individual needs – it was possible to move from Year 3 to Year 5 (skipping Year 4) when the class teacher and Marks felt that he is already good enough in English and is ready to
move to the group of his age.After being with Brook Hill for so many years we are sure that choosing this school is the best choice and we are ready to sent Marks’ younger brother to Brook Hill when his time to start school life will come! :)”

“I like a few things about Brook Hill. I think that the teachers are quite nice and professional and it is pretty much always fun to go to school partially because of them. I also think that the subjects are all very effective and it is quite easy to learn. I especially enjoy the time table as all of the classes are separated by 5 minute breaks and there are 2 large breaks in each school day. All in all I like the school and I think it is very effective at
teaching students subjects while also not being boring.”
